The AV Tech Floater role helps event presenters become familiar with the AV setup of a room and assists them in operating any AV equipment that will be used. Although Floaters are not in-room operators, they do provide guidance to presenters so they can best understand and utilize the equipment during an event.
The AV Tech Floater is responsible for AV operations but is not assigned to one specific room. This means they are available to help with AV setups and operations across different rooms or areas of an event.
*If a booked Floater ends up operating a session, they will instead be considered an Operator for the day and won’t be billed as a Floater anymore.
